As a special education teacher with 30 years of experience and a mother of two daughters and three step-sons, I understand the importance of effective parenting. My background, which includes being a previous high school coach as well as special education teacher ages birth to 21 years, has given me a deep appreciation for the challenges and rewards of guiding families as well as children with Autism or Special Needs. I am passionate about empowering children to reach their full potential and believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive.
I work closely with parents to develop positive techniques that enhance communication, minimize conflict, and positively impact the home environment while also empowering the parents and developing a home/school connection. My goal is to provide practical, research-based strategies that help families create a supportive and nurturing space for their children while understanding the Why behind the behavior and the How do I accomplish this.
